Studio Art 1 is a prerequisite for all art courses, with the exception of ceramics.  Art 1 students are introduced to the basic elements and principles of art. Students will learn how to draw using a variety of media to complete projects including portraiture, figure drawing, one-point perspetive, still life drawing, and calligraphy. Two and three dimensional design projects include painting, printmaking, and paper mache'. Student will develop productive studio habits, creativity, craftsmanship, self discipline and respect.
